HarryBigButton are a rock band that seamlessly blends hard rock and alternative styles, delivering powerful soundscapes infused with profound emotional depth. Led by vocalist and guitarist Sungsoo Lee, the band’s roots trace back to Lee’s beginnings in classical music. Over a decade, he immersed himself in the world of rock as a thrash metal guitarist, later forming a hardcore band to explore new musical directions. After spending five years in the UK absorbing diverse artistic and musical influences, Lee established a unique and original musical identity. Since founding HarryBigButton in 2011, he has meticulously led the band, overseeing every aspect of the creative process, from songwriting to the final production.
American music critic George Washburn described HarryBigButton’s sound as “Across between traditional hard rock/metal and ’90s alternative with a twist.” Drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as David Bowie and Motörhead, as well as from various artistic mediums like film and literature, Sunggsoo Lee’s creative process begins with recording ideas using a basic voice memo app on his iPhone. These raw ideas are later refined with the band’s collaborative arrangements and carefully polished in the studio to achieve sonic perfection.
HarryBigButton has captivated audiences on stages of all sizes, both in Korea and internationally. Most notably, the band’s recent arena performance left a lasting impression on first-time listeners with its commanding sound and dynamic stage presence.
Guided by the belief that “Only good music left alive” HarryBigButton strives to transcend the boundaries of subculture, pushing the possibilities of rock music to greater heights. Their music captures an enduring authenticity, resonating with the very essence of rock and standing the test of time.
